Tickets to Rammstein :D
June 12th, 2009
It took me 45 minutes and many attempts (some of which ended only in the final confirmation from either my credit card company or the iDeal link to my bank), but I managed to get two tickets to Rammstein at the GelreDome on December 6th! They’re tickets for standing places so I hope to get close to the stage. Possibly with an ear-plug. At least wearing my “i hate clowns” t-shirt underneath a lot of other clothes. Ever since I got wind of Rammstein producing their new album I’ve been watching their website and thanks to Marieke I got a link to the Dutch site that sells the tickets to their only concert in Holland.
I’ve also been arguing with a JavaScript implementation of a reversible Bubble Sort, and so far I haven’t been winning. Which is embarrassing as the Bubble Sort algorithm is really very simple. I won a small battle by excluding the HTML-table header-row in the sorting routine, but I haven’t yet won the war. After verifying my logic and algorithm in a VB.Net application and transposing it to JavaScript, the thing that still doesn’t work is the reversal of sorting. Clicking a column header once works fine. Clicking it again should reverse the sorting order, but actually does nothing. Should I find the bug or flaw in logic, I will post my findings. It may not apply to anyone else as at the CAK we use our own library of webcontrols and JavaScript, but it may be helpful in discovering how to implement something in your specific situation.
Perhaps I should mention I wasted some time today reading through all the posts at www.photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com. Really, if you are even the slightest bit into Photoshop you will thoroughly enjoy that blog. It has some fine examples of cynicism and desperation on the designer’s part, and a few on the market department as a whole. And a lot of stupid ways to really bugger up an advertisement without making it too obvious to an unknowing audience.
My name is Marco Hokke. My blog is about the things that interest me and things I might forget if I would not blog them.
