Neighbourhood at night

April 17th, 2009

Last night I went out with my camera after watching Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Bill O’Reilly on YouTube for two hours. Those pundits are funny, even Bill, although not many people would see Bill as a clown like Stephen or Jon.

For my photographic adventure in the middle of the night I did not travel far; for where my home is there is also beauty. I took the pictures in this post no more than 40 meters from my front door.

Empty path
“Who knows where the road may lead us, only a fool would say.”

Empty street II
“The city feels clean this time of night; just empty streets and me walking home, to clear my head”

Empty street III   Empty street I

The pictures are all HDR, with exposures of up to 90 seconds. The HDR effect is kept to a minimum (except in the third picture) because I don’t really like it very much; I prefer the natural look of HDR above the cartoonesque look.
