Zwarte Piet

Last Friday I played zwarte piet again for Toverlei, with Joop as Sinterklaas and Lorien as another zwarte piet. We visited 6 addresses and entertained a lot of children. It is such fun to see how different children can be: shy and timid and quiet, or excited and nervous, or glad to perform a little dance or piece of music for Sinterklaas.
I took a picture of me right after applying make-up, and looking at this picture I am amazed that not every child ran away screaming when I entered the room! I look seriously scary in this picture, with a fake smile and a double chin:
