Making a birthday present

I’m off to Katelijn’s birthday tonight (after watching ‘The Autopsy Project’ at the LAK!), and I’ve made her a pen drawing today. It took me about 2 hours to finish, and my arms and neck hurt–nothing that a few beers at her place can’t solve. I just hope she likes it. The drawing’s related to one of my Processing projects, where I try to make city-plans by drawing house-shapes and leaving open spaces for roads and squares. The Processing project isn’t coming along very easily, but using pen and paper I’ve taken the idea of city plans and developed it into something more abstract.

It’s still black and white, I hope to make more drawings like this and use colors as well. Here’s two pictures of what I made for Katelijn (click to enlarge):
